What is NERDS?

Not Even Really Drama Students (NERDS) is a student musical theatre organization that aims to provide a space for under-represented groups in theatre. Performing entirely original, student-created work, NERDS encourages expression and creativity, and welcomes students from all ranges of experience.

OUR EVENTS

full lengths

Each semester, NERDS performs one original musical written and directed by a team of our members. A testament to the talent and creativity of our org, the shows are guaranteed to make you laugh, cry, and more. Past shows can be found on our Youtube channel!

audio dramas

NERDS puts out a collection short, 15-20 minute audio musicals each semester, with opportunities to write, edit, compose, and voice act. Audio Dramas are published on Youtube and Spotify.

mini musicals

A brand-new event created in 2024, Mini Musicals is a night of short, 15-20 minute musical sketches written, directed, and performed by NERDS members.

open mic night

For two nights each semester, NERDS hosts an Open Mic Night, welcoming both NERDS members and anyone else who is interested to perform anything they'd like! Come sing, dance, do a stand-up routine, or just enjoy the show!

NERDS is for everybody—no theatre experience required! To get started, check out the upcoming audition and event dates below or fill out the interest form on our LinkTree to get updates about opportunities for new members.

NERDS also currently has applications to PRODUCE for our events (including Mini Musicals, Open Mic Night, and Audio Dramas) open! Apply using this form!
